In some guide books you will see Sierra Nevada located in Monachil. Whilst the resort does belong to the municipality it is important to note that the way to Monachil is completely different. Always follow the signs to 'Sierra Nevada'. On the other hand, there are some guides with Sierra Nevada having access via villages in the north east of Granada province or from the west of Almería. Again, this isn't quite accurate as the Sierra Nevada Natural Park is huge. The only way to reach the Sierra Nevada ski resort is from the Sierra Nevada road (A- 395) off the Granada ring road.
In all the roads around Granada there are good indications for Sierra Nevada. Follow them until you reach the Granada ring road (the A44) where, wherever you come from, you will reach us without any problems.
