The Hotel
Built in 1965, the Meliá Sol y Nieve was the first building to be built in Sierra Nevada, and was the focal point for the rest of the construction of a resort which eventually has become the largest ski resort in Spain.
The hotel was completely renovated in 2000 and in 2007-2008 it carried out another renovation, this time led by the well-known architect Álvaro Sans. The result is the new Meliá Sol y Nieve, a perfect example of the new trends in hotel design.
